Jim Clay Obituary

UNION-Jim A. Clay, 81, passed away March 30, 2025, at his home in Union.  He was born December 7, 1943, in Three Oaks, MI.

  On November 27, 1976, he married Wanda Lorenz; she survives along with 3 daughters, Susan Terry, Janice (Jon) Werts, Dawn (Mike Robinson) Corvin, 6 grandchildren, Candace, Jessica, Jacob, Clayton, McCormick, and Katie.  Also surviving are 4 great-grandchildren, a sister, Charlotte Marko, and his beloved fur son, Emmett. 

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Ethel (Copper) Clay, sister, Katherine “Lavonne” (David) Hambrick, and a brother, Jerry Clay.

 Jim worked at Empire Machine and Walerko Tool and Die for many years.  He enjoyed going to tractor shows in his spare time but most of all he loved making memories with his grandchildren. 

  Per his wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society. 

  Arrangements are pending at Elkhart Cremation Services.
