JoAnne Mary Yoder

Shipshewana, Indiana- Joanne Mary Yoder, 63, of Shipshewana, died Sunday May 29, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.  She was born September 25, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas and June (Stanek) Stieglitz.

     On June 10, 2000, in White Pigeon, Michigan she married Mark Allen Yoder.  He survives along with 3 children, Kara Salisbury of White Pigeon, MI, Karissa (Rhys) Yoder of Wolcottville, IN, Bailey (Daniel) Brown of Ft. Wayne, IN; 1 grandson, Jayden Salisbury; 2 siblings, Lana Brown of Chicago, IL, June Stieglitz of Ft. Wayne, IN and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 siblings Guy and Daria Stieglitz.

     Joanne graduated in 1977 from Constantine High School.  She served in the Army National Guard, was a former member of the Lions Club in White Pigeon and the women’s bowling league in White Pigeon.  She also was a member of the Constantine American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. 

     Cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.  Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
