Joan May Weaver

Joan May Weaver, 91, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the Restoracy of Goshen, under the care of Heart-to-Heart hospice care.

Joan was born September 14, 1934 to William and Frances Roose in Elkhart, IN. She married Dallas (Dal) Weaver on January 26, 1952, in Elkhart, IN; he preceded her in death on January 1, 2016.

Joan was an active member at Northside Baptist Church for many years. She came to know Jesus as her personal Savior in 1998 before she had open heart surgery.

Joan is survived by her daughter Rhonda (John) Austin of Bristol, Indiana, 6 grandchildren, Dallas Austin, Cris (Curtis) King, John Austin II, Josh Austin, Jeremy (Kayla) Austin, & Shane (Melissa) Wegner. She also has 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way, in addition to 1 great-great-grandboy, who she adored immensely.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dal, daughter Connie Dresser, and son-in-law Jim Dresser.

There will be a private memorial at a later date at the family cabin in Baldwin, MI.
