John P Flores

ELKHART- John P. Flores, 75, of Elkhart, died Wednesday September 1, 2021, at his residence. He was born August 2, 1946, in Victoria, Texas to Pete S. and Lena (Ponce) Flores.

On December 12, 1978, in Elkhart he married Margo B. Newhard. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2021, in Elkhart. Surviving is a son, John A. Flores of Elkhart; 6 siblings, Jim Flores, Joe Flores, Erlinda Pollock, Elizabeth Cruz, Sandra Flores, Robbie Caldwell all of Elkhart and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margo and 4 siblings, Betty Salazar, Gloria Duncan, Mary McClendon, and Sadie Bermea.

John enjoyed working on cars doing body work and painting them, loved to spend time with his family and loved his 2 dogs, Taco and Sage.  John retired in 2014 from the Norfolk & Southern Railroad as a conductor where he worked for 40 years.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his care.
