John Marion Spry

Elkhart- John Marion Spry, 71, passed away September 4, 2025, at his home in Elkhart surrounded by loved ones.  He was born June, 30, 1954 in Manchester, TN to John G. & Algretta (Boyd) Spry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Serena Bischoff, step sons Jason Pressler and Ronald Pressler, and 3 grandchildren.

Surviving are 3 children, Jessica (Paul) Fortunak, Melissa Spry, John Matthew (Brittany) Spry, and 1 step child, Jessica Richie.  Also surviving are John's significant other, Bonnie McMullen, 9 grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Anita Herr and Laura Rohrbaugh, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

John was a member of the Osceola American Legion and regularly attended events at the legion.  He enjoyed being outside, fishing, riding his motorcycle, bowling, camping, boating, and tinkering.  He also loved watching NASCAR and racing his own stock cars as a young man.  John loved music and was a great dancer.  Above all John loved spending time with his family making memories.

Per his wishes cremation will take place.  There will be a celebration of life for family and friends September 20, 2025 from 4-6 pm at the Osceola American Legion to honor John's life where a dinner will be shared with all.
