ELKHART-Josephine “Josie” A. Freeman, 87, passed away April 17, 2023, at her home in Elkhart. She was born December 26, 1935, in Logansport to Earl & Ida (Sloup) Boehme.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Freeman, 2 children, Franklin Foote, Lisa Foote, 5 siblings, Fred, Carl, Thelma “Dollie”, Chuck, and Mary.
Surviving are 2 children, Deborah Bumpus, Diana (Randolph) MacNeal, 7 grandchildren, James, Jessie, Michele, Brandon, Jerry, Randy, and Stephanie. Also surviving are 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Josie collected angels and enjoyed watching soap operas. Most important to her was her family whom she cherished dearly.
Per her wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held in the summer.
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
