Joshua Paul Jessup was born on March 4, 1978 in South Haven, Michigan. Surrounded by family and friends, he passed into eternal life on December 9, 2024, due to liver failure caused by his six-year battle with colon cancer. He was 46 years old.
Josh was a quiet man of many talents. As a teen and young adult, he worked with a local farmer picking, packing, trucking, and (occasionally) selling fruit. By his mid-twenties, he could build a stick house or log cabin from the ground up, but he found his joy in computers. This love of working with computers started at age 12, when his mother took him to an adult beginner’s coding class. As an adult, he learned how to weave intricate chain maille designs, work with leather, program industrial robots, design parts for manufacturing, weld, and his favorite, 3D printing.
Josh is survived by his wife, Evon (Yaggi) Jessup; children, Abigail, Bridget, Nolan, Catherine and Fiona; parents, Thomas and Marilyn Jessup; sister, Mara Jessup; brothers, Jonathan (Shannon) Jessup, Jeremiah (Rain) Jessup, Joseph (Kymberly) Jessup, James (Kristen) Jessup, Jedidiah (Nicole) Jessup, Josiah (Emily) Jessup, Johanan Jessup; sister, Hannah (Joseph George) Jessup; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Helen Jessup, and Lynn and Marion Fleming, and his baby brother, Job Jessup.
In lieu of flowers, an educational fund has been set up for Joshua's children. Donations may be made in person at any Fifth Third Bank, or you may send a check to any Fifth Third branch. Include the last five digits of the account number (85850) with “Educational Fund for Abi, Bridget, Nolan, Cadie and Fiona Jessup.”
