Karen A Chester

Karen Peebles Chester passed away Thursday February 19, 2026 at Goshen Hospital after years of chronic illnesses. Karen was born on January 11, 1964 in Rockford, Illinois to John and Donna Peebles Sr.

One of Karen’s favorite things was watching her girls grow and start families of their own. Her biggest blessings were her 4 grandchildren, she loved watching them grow into their own people. Family was everything to her, no matter what happened as long as she had family, she had everything. She worked for years at Chamberlain Elementary School as a special education paraprofessional, it was her favorite job. Helping children who normally might slip through the cracks, grow into the best students they could be.

Karen is survived by her daughters, Erika, Kayonna (Erik), Mikaela (Jake) and Autumn; her grandchildren, Malachi, Harper, Hayden and Renley; her siblings, John (Donna) Jr., Karla, and Lola (Robert); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

A service will be held to honor Karen, February 28, 2026 at 11am at Faith Lutheran Church at202 S Greene Rd Goshen,IN 46526. For those not able to attend the service will be live streamed and recorded, to watch go to faithgoshen.com/live-stream.
