Karen Scherer Obituary

ELKHART-Karen M. Scherer, 73, passed away October 9, 2021 at her home in Elkhart. She was born June 29, 1948 in Elkhart to Paul & Ruby (Lehman) Hartman.

On June 1, 1968 she married Kim Scherer; he survives along with 1 son, Jeffry (Amy Benjamin) Scherer, 6 grandchildren, Taren (Chuck) Luther, Kassie (Jeff) Turner, Katie Scherer, Ali Scherer, Dominic Garrett, and Kameron Garrett. Also surviving are 6 great-grandchildren, Marlee, Allen, Lillie, Addie, Avery, Enzo, a sister, Marla Hart and special neighbors, Patty and Maggie.

She was preceded in death be her parents and sister, Judy Huff.

Family meant a lot to Karen and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. at Kim and Karen’s home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
