Katsy J. Westphal

Katsy J. Westphal, 70, passed away on May 19, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN.  She was born on November 13, 1953, in Sturgis, MI to Raymond and Allie (Olds) Westphal.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Westphal. 

Surviving is her sister, Trudy (Roger) Knapp; the love of her life and best friend, William “C.C. Rider” Anderson; 4 children, Alicia (Frank) Gomez, Raeshella (Bobby) Branch, James Anderson, Allie (Rodger Brandon) Anderson; 7 grandchildren, Oden, Jayden, Myron, Jahaylii, Jareece, Journey, Jayde; and 1 great-granddaughter, Angelicia.  Also surviving are numerous other family members, and all the kids she called her own family from the boulevard. 

Katsy enjoyed listening to music, spending time with her family relaxing in the “clouds” whenever possible and going on motorcycle rides.  She was a sweetheart and always had her arms and heart open to anyone in need, while still being able to hold her own.   Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. 

Per her wishes, cremation will take place, and a celebration of life gathering on June 1, 2024, at 3 p.m.  Please contact the family for further details. 

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help assist in the celebration of life service.
