Kent James Raymond, born October 25, 1952, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
Kent was born to Charles and Dorothy (French) Raymond. He was united in marriage to Kim (Spicher) Raymond, on July 3, 2000. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Kent found his greatest joy in spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, collecting treasures, and exploring flea markets. He loved the beauty and tranquility of the ocean. Christmas held a special place in his heart, and he delighted in celebrating the season with those he loved most.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Raymond; his brothers, Roy Raymond, Bruce Raymond, and Steven Raymond; and his beloved grandson, Colton Miller.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Raymond; his siblings, Donald Raymond, Phillip Raymond, Jeffrey (Sue) Raymond, and Stacey (Matt) Wroblewski; and his children, Amy (Dave) Stewart, Dawn (Doug) Searles, Lori Schoch, Jason Raymond, Betina (Ronald) Raymond, Rick (Jamie) Coughenour, Rose (Mark) Miller, and Dustin (Tiffany) Coughenour.
Kent also leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Tyler (Kayla) Searles, Robert (Heather) Searles, Kyle Schoch, Jayke (Logan) Hill, Jessie (Cris) Landrum, Doug Searles, Blake (Katherine) Layman, Gavin (Harley) Coughenour, Destiny Johnson, Blake Hayes, Chase Coughenour, Dawson Miller, Aria Coughenour, Ruthie Miller, Jazzlyn Goodwin, Kaleb Goodwin, and Karder Stutsman.
He was further blessed with great-grandchildren Chloe Searles, Dalton Searles, Rosalee Searles, Thea Searles, Hadlee Layman, and Sailor Layman, all of whom brought immense pride and happiness to his life.
Kent retired from Elkhart Products after working there for 34 years.
Kent will be remembered for his warm heart, his unwavering love for his family, his hardworking nature, and his ability to make others feel welcome. His memory will live on in the stories shared around family gatherings, the traditions he cherished, and the countless lives he touched throughout his years.
Though he will be deeply missed, his love and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
