L.W. Wilson, Jr.

L. W. "Dooley" Wilson, Jr., 74, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at his residence in Elkhart, IN. He was born on April 30, 1950, in Flat Lake, AR, to L.W. and Flosie (Henderson) Wilson, Sr.

Surviving are five children, Anthony (Louvenia) Wilson, Andre (Tonya) Wilson, Daniel Wilson, all of Milwaukee, WI; Michael (Brandy) Trinidad and Brittany Wilson, both of Elkhart, IN; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Tommie Wilson, David Wilson, Losie (Arthur) Woodard; and his companion, Elizabeth Trinidad, of Elkhart. L.W. was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: John Jeffery Wilson, Lee Edward Wilson, Billy Gene Wilson, Freddy Wilson.

L. W. was formerly employed at E.R. Carpenter in Elkhart. He enjoyed watching Westerns on television, listening to music, fishing, eating beans, and spending time with his family.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 5:00-10:00p.m. at the Pierre Moran Pavilion, 1821 Prairie Street, Elkhart, IN. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with his care.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the Center for Hospice Care and the nurses on the 6th floor at Elkhart General Hospital for the excellent care that they gave to L.W.
