Lawrence "Shakey" Hein

GOSHEN-Lawrence "Shakey" A. Hein, 89, passed away December 29, 2021, at Courtyard Healthcare in Goshen. He was born November 29, 1932, in Elkhart to Albert & Ethel (Paston) Hein.

  On May 3, 1952, he married Gloria Haven; she preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter,

Shannon Dill, 3 siblings, Howard Hein, Ruby Fry, and Mary Runyon.

  Surviving are 2 sons, Larry Hein, Mike (Angie) Hein, 3 grandchildren, Stacey (Nate) Gautsche, Julie Lambright, Adam (Leah Bloom) Hein, 2 great-grandchildren, Bryce Dill and Lucas Lambright.

  Lawrence was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member or the D.A.V. # 15 in Goshen.  He enjoyed spending his time at the D.A.V and fishing on Stone Lake.

Per his wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services.

Memorial contributions may be given to the D.A.V. # 15 in Goshen.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
