EDWARDSBURG-Lewis “Al” Windbigler, Jr., 85, passed away July 12, 2020 at his home in Edwardsburg.  He was born August 1, 1934 in Elkhart, IN to Lewis Allen Windbigler, Sr. & Mildred Pearl (Tinsley) Windbigler.
  Surviving are 4 children Randy (Dawn) Windbigler of Edwardsburg, Lou Ann Christner of Elkhart, Rebecca (David) Cooper of Niles, Christopher Windbigler of Elkhart, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are 2 siblings, Paul (Jean) Windbigler of Elkhart, Rollin (Cynthia) Windbigler of South Bend and mother of 1 of his children, Elizabeth Ann Windbigler.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Mark Windbigler, 1 brother, David Windbigler, 1 son-in-law, Michael Christner, great-grandchild, Isabella Christner and mother of 4 of his children, Geraldine Ann Gerschoffer.
  Lewis graduated from Edwardsburg High School in 1952 and proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army.   He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion.  He worked at Taylor Products and Belvedere in Elkhart for several years.
  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
  In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions may be given to the Edwardsburg VFW.
  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
