Obituary
ELKHART-Linda Lou Bartzis, 72, passed away May 24, 2023 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born August 18, 1949, in Kankakee, IL.
On February 14, 1985, she married Demetre Bartzis; he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Marie Christopher, 2 step-children, Joseph Bartzis and Christopher Bartzis.
Surviving are 3 children, Steven Bartzis, Susan (George) Kinsman, Peter Bartzis, 9 grandchildren, Bonita (Drew), Bobby (Jennifer), Elena, Elizabeth (Cory), Allison, Andreas, Sam, Victor, and Valerie, and numerous great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 siblings, Christine and Paul.
Linda was a LPN for over 40 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing arts and crafts, attending movie nights, and most of all being a wife and mother. She will be remembered as a kind and helpful person with a giving heart.
Per her wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
