Lucas P Peterson

ELKHART-Lucas P. Peterson, 29, passed away July 10, 2020 at his home in Elkhart.  He was born April 24, 1991 in Elkhart to Paul Peterson and Paula (Hiles) Doll. 
  Surviving is his mother, Paula Doll, maternal grandma, Patricia Hiles, uncle, Steve (Jill Dixon) Hiles and a cousin (who was like a brother), Cody Hiles. 
  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Paul Hiles and step-dad, David Doll.
  Lucas graduated in 2009 from Edwardsburg High School.  In his spare time, he enjoyed gaming and playing with his dog, Lola.
  He won many medical battles since 2014, but he was done with the warfare.  “But through it all, when there was doubt, I ate it up and spit it out.  I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way.  I’ve laughed & cried I’ve had my fill, my share of losing.  And now as tears subside, I find it all so amusing.  To think I did all that and may I say, not in a shy way.  Oh no, no not me.  I did it my way”.  Frank Sinatra- Paul Anka
  Lucas will be deeply missed.
  In lieu of flowers donations may be given to his family or plant a tree in his memory.
