Margaret Gray

ELKHART-Margaret J. Gary, 72, passed away June 12, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born June 10, 1950, in Crawfordsville, IN. 
  She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah A Oilar, her father, Ray E McCollum, mother-in-law, Olivia Allen, sister, Bonnie R Harvey, and brother, Fred R McCollum.
  Surviving is her loving husband of 43 years, Charles E Gary, 3 children, Sarah “Marci” Greenroyd (Jason A Hagan), Daniel Cherry (Christine Boudreau), Summer Gary, and a sister, Mary Jo (Sam) Foley. She also leaves behind 4 beautiful grandchildren, Peyton Slack, Alayna Hagan, Maxwell Cherry, and Paxton Wheeler, countless family members that she loved so much, including her beloved sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Gary and Twilia Taylor-Williams and brothers-in-law, Samuel Gary and Terry Allen. 
  Margaret was a caregiver to her loving mother for over 15 years, enjoyed gardening, decorating her house, and spending time with her grandkids. 
  Margaret was a Nana, Aunt, Auntie, adopted Grandma, and Mama Janie to so many. She would always have a kind word, a shoulder to cry on, or a beautiful smile to brighten your day. She never met a stranger, and always found the best in people. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Our hearts are broken beyond measure.
  A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
