Margo Sue Shoemaker

Margo Sue Martin Miller Shoemaker, known to many simply as “West,” has passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy as bold and vibrant as the life she lived. Larger than life and unforgettable to those who knew her, Margo has been joyfully reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Elmer Shoemaker; her son, Manual “JJ” Shoemaker; and her granddaughter, Destiny Miller.

Margo was fiercely devoted to her family. Her son, Joda (Stacy) Miller, was always by her side, a constant source of strength, and she loved her son, Billy, just as deeply. Her bond with her granddaughter, Kesse, was something extraordinary—a closeness that will never be forgotten. To her grandchildren and to all the children she helped raise as her own, she was affectionately known as “Momo.” Her heart and home were always open to any child who needed her love and care.

Margo’s spirit was loud, unapologetic, and full of love. She knew exactly what she wanted in life and went after it fearlessly. Her family and friends were always her top priority, and her circle extended far beyond her immediate family. Though too many to name, Margo leaves behind countless loved ones—friends, family, and those who were lucky enough to be touched by her generosity and warmth.

She is survived by her loving sister, Tonja Martin, as well as her brothers: Billy Ace (Barbie) Martin, Bobby Martin, and Johnny (Leslie) Martin. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Margo lived and loved fiercely, and her presence will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Margo, as you reunite with your loved ones on the other side. We will never forget your loud, loving spirit and the countless lives you touched.
