Mishawaka -  Marilyn Ruth Wilson Barber born September 5th 1929 and passed away February 21st at 5:45pm in Mishawaka. Eldest daughter of the late Howard H Wilson and Thelma L Dreibelbis Wilson of Mishawaka. Preceded in death by brother Charles (Bud) Wilson,  sister Kathrine Wilson, brother Kenneth (Skip) Wilson, and sister Lois Ann Wilson Beam all of Mishawaka.

On March 16th 1948 Marilyn married Richard B Barber Sr. In Mishawaka. Together they shared 63 years of marriage until Richard's death November 7th 2010.

Marilyn and Richard raised 3 children on the banks of the St. Joseph River in the Twin Branch area of Mishawaka. Surviving is their eldest son, Richard Jr of Mishawaka with their youngest son Gary E Barber passing November 11th 2012.  Leaving behind 2 granddaughters,  7 great grand kids. Sister-in-law Doris Wilson, nephews Kenneth (Kenny), Steven, Buddy Wilson. Nieces Linda Gurley Nelson, and Beverly Barber Sayes.

Marilyn worked several different jobs in her lifetime. During WWII sewed uniforms for the troops. Worked at Ball Band, White Hall Laboratories, and retiring from Miles Laboratories after 33 years of service.  Marilyn returned to work for the JCPenney Home Store in Las Vegas Nevada and working additional 16 years and being awarded employ of the year 3 times.

Marilyn had many friends during her life time but 2 very special people she regarded as family. Jim and Susan Lukiezwski including their 2 sons Andrew and Jami. A 37 year relationship that Marilyn her husband and sons affirmed as son, brother, daughter, sister

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services in entrusted with her care.
