Marjorie Walter

GOSHEN- Marjorie Walter, 88, of Goshen, Indiana and formerly of LaPorte, Indiana, died Friday April 22, 2022, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse, Indiana.  She was born July 24, 1933, in Liverpool, England to William and Elizabeth (Rutherford) Foster.

     She married Lorenzo Walter, Jr and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1998.  Surviving are 2 children, Douglas L. Walter, and Patricia K. Layman both of Goshen, IN,  9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 siblings, Brian Foster, Brenda Roughly, and Joyce O’Neill, all from Liverpool, England, and Patricia Gladwell of Gun Barrel, TX.  Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Kevin Walter and Jeffery A. Walter, sister, Betty Barrow, and a brother, Billy Foster.

      Marjorie was employed as a Dental Lab Technician at T.P Labs in Westville, Indiana for many years.  She enjoyed traveling and volunteering at LaPorte Hospital and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

     Cremation will take place and burial will be private at Patten Cemetery in LaPorte, IN where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lorenzo.  Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
