Mark E Grise

MISHAWAKA-Mark E. Grise, 66, passed away February 11, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.  He was born October 3, 1954 in South Bend, IN to Marilyn (Mosier) and Harlow Grise. 

    He was preceded in death by his father, Harlow and 1 brother, James Grise.

Surviving is his mother, Marilyn Waumans, sister, Ilene Crutchfield both of Mishawaka, son, Ben (Kortney) Grise of Westfield, daughter, Kasey (Chance) Cullum of Mishawaka, and 9 grandchildren, Tyler, Michael, Haley, Mariah, Mya, Rylan, Nolan, Josie and Fiona.  Also surviving are nephews, Jon Crutchfield, Jeremy Crutchfield, Matt Grise, 2 nieces, Maria Grise and Jennifer Grise and friends who became family, Erin Hensel and Marissa Million.

  Mark was a graduate of Penn High School and was a bindery press operator most of his career.  He managed his son’s baseball teams for several years at East End Little League in Mishawaka and was accomplished in Michiana area bowling and slow-pitch softball leagues.  He was passionate about Notre Dame sports, the Chicago White Sox, soccer, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and cooking. 

  Per his wishes cremation will take place. 

  Family, friends, and friends of the family are invited to attend a celebration of life reception Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Chicory Event Center, 114 W. 1st Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.   Remembrances will be shared beginning at 2:00 p.m.

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
