Mark A. Nastos

SOUTH BEND-Mark A. Nastos, 67, passed away peacefully February 11, 2021 with his daughters by his side.  He was born November 27, 1953 in Newport, Rhode Island to the late William & Mary (Harrington) Nastos.

  Everyone who knew Mark loved him and he loved everyone he knew.  Left to cherish his memory are 2 daughters, Elizabeth and Rachel, 2 brothers, Willie and Nick, 2 grandchildren, Hazen and Halee, and 2 great-grandchildren, Aspen and Abel.  Also surviving are his N.A. family.

  Marks legacy of caring, loving and helping people started in 1984, as he made the choice to become clean.  As he grew in his perseverance, he became involved in Narcotics Anonymous, where he was not only helped by many, but helped many as well.   His passion for this ran deep and his strength was that of a warrior.   Those that knew him knew he was strong in his convictions and stubborn when fighting for his beliefs; though this is something we all loved about him.  He was a father figure to many and held you all close to his heart.

  Right now, he is free of pain and enjoying all the things his health wouldn’t allow.  Fishing, hunting, talking with friends, playing with his great-grandkids, playing guitar and mostly breathing easy. 

  At this time there will be no services.  The family is hoping to arrange a time when spring comes to put Mark to rest at one of his favorite places, Camp Mack. 

  May he rest in peace and know he will forever be loved and missed until we meet again, “keep coming back”. 

  In lieu of flowers or gifts please just love and support those around you, as this is what he would want. 

  As Mark would say, “Life on Life’s Terms”.
