Mark L. Vance, Sr.

Mark L. Vance, Sr., 62, passed away on November 25, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on March 4, 1962, in Crawfordsville, IN.

Surviving is his wife, Paula Vance; three children, Dana (Nick) Guyton, Mark (Lisa) Vance, Eric (Sierra) Vance; three stepchildren, Valerie Robertson, Aric (Jennifer) Miinch, Andrew (Taylor) Miinch; seven grandchildren, Isabell, Lucas, Peyton, Mark III, Colton, James, Liam; and four step-grandchildren, Alyssa, Alexis, Alex, and Aric G.  Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Zaidyn, Lelani, Remmington, Tatum; five siblings, Gary, Larry, Nancy, Perley, Jim; and a dog, Rose.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Perley & Ruth (Frost) Vance; his first wife of 37 years, Sherry Vance; three siblings, Ronnie, infant Diane, infant Terry; and dog, Asphalt.

Mark was a Jimtown football fan, loved stockcar racing, loved animals, and also was a longtime member of Grace Point Church. Family, especially his grandchildren, truly meant everything to him. He will be remembered as a kindhearted man with a gentle soul that he always extended to others.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 10:00am at Olive West Cemetery, 61081 County Road 3, Elkhart, IN 46517. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00am-12:00pm, with a celebration of life service will follow at 12:00pm at Grace Point Church, 54662 Ash Road Osceola, IN 46561. Presiding will be Pastor Mike Swinehart. 

Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Point Church.
