Mary Y Sanders

ELKHART-Mary Sanders, 81, passed away April 30, 2021 at her home in Elkhart.  She was born July 25, 1939 in Medina, TN to Ernest & Lillian (Lovell) Quinn.

  In 1957 she married Clyde Sanders, Jr., he preceded her in death in 1997.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Randy Sanders, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 5 siblings.

  Surviving are 2 daughters, Debra Kooienga, Cathy Harmon, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Lorene King.

  Mary enjoyed her job at Walmart working in the fabric and crafts department.  She liked going to bingo, Goodwill and tending to her rose garden.  Most important to her was her family that she loved to spend time with. 

  Per her wishes there will be no services, cremation will take place and burial will be held a Friday May 14, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Rice Cemetery.

  Memorial donations may be given to the Ribbon of Hope or Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Elkhart County. 

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
