Mary Ann Tavernier

Mary Ann Tavernier passed away on September 21, 2024, in Warsaw, Indiana. She was a loving mother and wife, raising four children and two grandchildren. She will be missed by all, especially by her husband, Leonard, (m. November 9, 1959) married for almost 65 years.

Mary Ann was born on July 29, 1943, to Ellsworth D. Phelps and Frances M. (Coplen) Phelps in Elkhart, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Don Phelps; and her son, James L. Tavernier.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Leonard L. Tavernier of Warsaw, IN; sons, Jeffery (Mary) Tavernier of Columbia City, IN; Timothy (Jessica) Tavernier of Elkhart, IN; and daughter, Sabina Horvath of Oregon; grandchildren, Steven, Rozanna, Joshua, Tyler, Tabitha, Rebekah, Monica, Aaron, Izzy, Lauren and Daniel; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.

Mom will always be remembered.
