Melanie Jane Signs

Melanie Jane Signs age (64) of Edwardsburg, MI and Elkhart, IN passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly at her home Monday Feb. 24th, 2025. She was born July 29th, 1960 in Grand Rapids, MI to Larry Bird and Lenamae Davis.

She is preceded in death by her Father Larry Bird, her Mother Lenamae Davis, her Brother Kevin Bird, and her Nephew Shane Buena.

She is survived by her Brothers Randy Bird, Tony (Sandy) Bird, and Scott Chupp. Her Nieces Brandy (Michael) Ivens, Amanda Krull, Ashley (Dusty) Wiggins, Misty Chupp, Lindsey Chupp, Amber Harshberger, and Brittany Pettry. Her Nephews Steven Bird, Andy Bird, Scott Harshberger, and Eric Felder Jr. and a host of Cousins, Great Nieces, Nephews and "Adopted" Nieces and Nephews.

Melanie loved her job as a seamstress in the van conversion industry. She loved movies, music, Michigan Football, standing in the rain, mushroom hunting/camping, setting up and enjoying her Christmas villages, baking cookies, making fudge and crafting. But most of all Melanie Loved her family.
