Michael Anthony Davis

MISHAWAKA-Mr. Michael Anthony Davis Sr., 62, of Chicago, IL went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday morning June 18, 2021 at home with his wife, Josephine.  Michael was born and raised in Chicago, IL on May 3, 1959 to the late Betty Jean Davis and George “Black”. 

  At the age of two, Michael’s mother, Betty Jean met and married James Reid on February 14, 1965 and he became Michaels father.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Michael Boswell, James Bills, first wife, Kim Bills,1 sister, Edith “Pinky” Davis.

  Michael moved to South Bend, IN in 1999, he met and married Josephine Plummer of July 11, 2000.

  Surviving is his wife, Josephine Davis, 3 sons, Marchello (Rikhea) Jefferson of St. Paul, MN, Francios Davis, Michael Davis Jr., 4 daughters, Quinetta Shead, Francine (Charles) Young, Isheka Yazid and Kimberly Jones and 20 grandchildren.  Also surviving is a aunt, Jenette Davis, 2 nephews, Dante Davis, Daniel Davis and a host of cousins and friends.

Michael attended Walter Diet School and DuSable High School in Chicago, IL. Michael was a great cook and a wonderful grandfather.

  Per his wishes there will be no services and cremation will take place.

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
