MISHAWAKA-Michael D. Woodworth, 68, passed away September 14, 2020 at his home. He was born November 26, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to Benjamin Woodworth & Nausica Kolocatronis.
Surviving are two daughters, Rachael (Robert Rios) Burmeister, Hannah (Jake) Ball, and nine grandchildren, Bailey, Keira, Lucas, Noble, Hunter, Adelaide, Lailuh, Aleksa and Elyjah. Also surviving is 1 cousin, Mary Beckman and 1 dog, Molly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Barbara Williams and 1 dog, Finnegan.
Michael served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked in the transportation industry for many years and most recently was a CDL Instructor. He enjoyed building custom model cars, playing x-box, watching true crime shows, cooking and most importantly spending time with his family. He was an optimistic person and had the ability to make an uncomfortable situation comfortable. Michael was also a proud Irish Catholic and maintained his faith throughout his life.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at 12 noon Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the home of his daughter, Rachael.
In honor of Michael, memorial contributions may be given to Mission 22, which is dedicated to healing veterans.
