Michelle Lynn Kauffman

Michelle Lynn Kauffman, 55, Elkhart Indiana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, after a short battle with brain cancer. 

Michelle was born on October 10, 1969, to Winston W. Johnson and Diana L. Crist in Elkhart, Indiana.

Michelle is survived by her husband of 21 years, Matthew A. Kauffman. Her two daughters, Brooke (Gabriel) Valdovinos and Matalyn Kauffman. Her parents, Winston Johnson and Diana Crist. Her brothers, Michael Johnson and Winston Johnson II. Her grandchildren, Teigan, Milan, Olivia and Luka.

Michelle was a very beautiful and loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She had a passion to help others and she gave even when she had nothing to give. Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs at home. She will be missed dearly by everyone she cared for and she has left us with many memories to smile about and share.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date determined by the family.
