Michelle Marie Somogyi

  It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and dearest friend. Michelle M. Somogyi passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving night, Thursday November 27th, surrounded by family and lifelong friends. She was 59.

 Michelle was born in South Bend, Indiana on July 25th, 1966, to Fred E. and Barbara L. Coates. She lived in the South Bend/Mishawaka area most of her life.

  She adored this time of year and the holidays that come with it. Not only did it come with one of her favorite things to do, spending time and making memories with her family. It also brought out her creativity. Halloween was her favorite. From decorating and dressing up in her witchy costume to watching all the scary movies she could. She loved the thrill and would even create her own haunted walk through. But even as one who could enjoy the darker things when December came around, she was the first to break out her three Christmas trees, load up with bright lights, and decorate every corner of her home to signify the holiday! Michelle enjoyed doing arts and crafts. Her creativity would really come whenever there was something she could celebrate. She enjoyed making special gifts for friends and family but planning and decorating entire parties, including every detail, was when she was the most creative. It was such a big part of who she was. It was a way for her to make memories that she could cherish. Family was the most important thing to her, and it really showed in absolutely everything she did in life.

 Left behind to cherish and celebrate her memory; Husband Charles Somogyi of 40 years, children Brittany C. Somogyi, Zackary D. Somogyi (Jacklyn), Isaak C. Somogyi, and bonus daughter Danielle Springer.  She was a very proud Maw Maw Chelle of Brayden Summersgill, Autumn Somogyi, Jaylen Gordon, Jackson Gordon, Kye Somogyi, Julien Gordon, Halo Somogyi, Ava Somogyi, Keon Miller, Dez Boyd and Kamiah Boyd.

  She is also survived by her Mother Barbara Smith, Sister Tracy Coates, Mother-In-Law Maxine Andrzejewski, her brother Jeff Buell, and numerous Aunts, Uncles , Cousins, Nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. 

 Preceded In death are her Fathers Fred Coates and Doug Smith. Grandson Dallas Somogyi, Sister Samantha Coates, Father-in-law Richard Anderzejewski, Nephew Brandon Buell, Grandparents, aunts and Uncles. 

Michelle chose to be cremated and there will be a celebration of life to be announced on a later date
