Mona L. DeSimone, 87, passed away December 14, 2025, at Village at Arborwood in the comfort of her own home. She was born on February 12, 1938, in South Bend.

  On November 19, 1963, in South Bend, she married Samuel DeSimone; he survives along with 2 children, April (Todd) Pontius, Dawn (Kent) Craig, 2 grandchildren, Austin Pontius and Dylan Craig and many nieces and nephews.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Valerie (Pasket) Poznanski, and 2 sisters, Bonnie Koczan, JoAnn Koehler.

  Mona enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting in her spare time.

  Per her wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services.

  Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Center for Hospice Care.

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
