Nancy A Borgsteadt Obituary

ELKHART-Nancy A. Borgsteadt, 78, went to be with her Savior on April 12, 2026 at her home in Elkhart.  She was born January 24, 1948, in South Bend.


  On May 27, 2014, she married Jim Borgsteadt; he survives along with 5 children, Angela Frazier, Diana Rodgers, Maria Zinner, Todd Farrand, Noel Borgsteadt, 7 grandchildren, Sharon (Chris Neice) Staufenbeil, Todd Farrand II, Katie Bean, Christina Piersza, Amber Frazier, Jason Frazier, Damian Frazier, 3 great-grandchildren, Emmalynn, Addilynn, and Joseph.  Also surviving are 4 siblings, Dan (Betty) Slagle, Ron (Anna) Slagle, Tom (Liz) Slagle, and Sandy Healey.


  She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Slagle and Helen (Williams) Brown.


  Nancy worked at Nickles Bakery from 1977-1997, Elkhart Products from 1998-2010, was a member of the Bakery and Confectionary Union and Northside Baptist Church.  In her spare time she enjoyed doing crafts, attending church, and making precious memories with her family.  Nancy will be remembered for her caring, loving and feisty spirit.


  Per her wishes cremation will take place and there will be a celebration of life service at a later date.


  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Northside Baptist Church or St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
