Nancy Hann Obituary

NANCY JANE HANN

June 7, 1940 – April 29, 2025

MISHAWAKA, IN- Our beloved Nancy Jane Hann was called to Heaven on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.  Nancy was born on a New Moon, Friday, June 7th, 1940, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Louis Frederick Divens and Marjorie Estella (Hazelip).  She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Harold Johnson (JR) & Jack Divens; sisters, Joann Peppers & Phyllis Jean Church; and her grandchildren, Ricky & Rachael Blacharski and her beloved Shawna Kolarich. May she find them waiting at the Gates of heaven to reunite.

Nancy loved her children and was a devoted mother.  She taught them strength and fortitude and gave them a calling to family.  She married her love, Jesse Hann, on August 2, 1975, and they dedicated almost 50 years of marriage to one another.  Nancy was the Matriarch of 4 generations that include her sons, Ricky & Dean Blacharski; daughters, Crystal Renee (Jim) Mark & Monica Lynn Holcolm; grandchildren Heather & Aaron Blacharski, Jeremy (Rebekah) Mark, Jamie Singleton, Nikki Mark, and Amanda (Trevor) Connell, Stacie, Jack, Stephanie, Derek, Nathan, and Irene; great grandchildren, Bethany, Cameron, Mallory (Kyle) Cannon, Gracelynn, Hailey, Andrew, Adriana, Brandon, Kaya and Koda, and a great-great-grandson Khylen.  Family was the most important thing to her; she deeply loved all her children.

Nancy was devoted to making her home beautiful and comfortable for her family.  She spent many happy years enjoying her lovely home and yard.  She sweetened our lives caring for us and making sugar cookies.  She cared for her father in the last years of his life and helped her sister through the death of her husband.  She created a nurturing home with endless nighttime snacks and soda in the fridge for the kids she hosted during long summers.  She was a wonderful aunt, her nieces and nephews loved spending time with her, they adored her.  She had a heart of gold, a biting wit, and a direct manner that demanded respect.  She enjoyed her coffee and introduced the delight to many of her loving nieces and nephews.  She was the biggest dog lover; over her lifetime she had a great many well-loved dogs, sweet Winston would be her last baby.

Nancy is survived by her husband Jesse Hann, brother, Jerry Divens, and her loving children.  She is also remembered by her stepchildren Janet (Danl) Hawkins, Jack (Betty) Hedges, and Jerry (Angie) Hann.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered, always.

Nancy wished to be cremated.  No services will follow.  In honor of her great love of animals, any donations in her memory can be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, Indiana.
