Naomi Maxine France

Naomi (Max) Pickar of Massillon, Ohio, 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Goshen Hospital, Indiana on December 31,2025 after a sudden and brief illness.

She was born June 21,1944 in Dundee, Ohio

Everyone knew her as Max. She loved the outdoors and fishing at Lake Erie for Perch and Walleye with friends and family at Fenwick Marina in Oak Harbor, Ohio. She enjoyed coffee and an occasional adult beverage with Friends. Max also loved to cook and do crafts.

Max’s children, Linda France of Massillon, Ohio (diseased), Sandy France of Massillon, Ohio, Mike and Nikki France of Goshen, Indiana.  Grandchildren Taylor France of Goshen, Indiana, Aubrey Turner of Goshen, Indiana, Dawn Stevens of Massillon, Ohio, Eric France of Canton, Ohio, and Great grandchildren

Max is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Naomi Pickar of Dundee, Ohio, her daughter Linda France and her husband of 62 years Jerry l France of Massillon, Ohio

Max chose to be Cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later time.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.
