Norris Y. Porter

Norris Y. Porter, 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at her home in Elkhart, IN. She was born on June 16, 1933, in Louisville, KY, to Andrew and Beatrice (Norris) Warfield.

Norris was preceded in death by her parents; four children, Mary McMerry, Beverly Arrington, Jenny Porter, and Michael Porter; a great-granddaughter, and four siblings, Marthenia, Helena, Charles, and Emmit.

Surviving are four children, Helena Porter, Leilani Cooper, April (Undra Warren) Porter, Frank L. (Sache) Porter; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jennie Brown.

Norris was a member of Kingdom Building Ministries in Louisville.

Per her wishes, cremation will take place, and services will be held at a later date in Louisville.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
