Olga Ruiz

Olga Ruiz passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born on May 20,1954 to Pedro Ruiz, Sr., and Manuela Chavez Ruiz. Olga was born in Donna, Texas, and most recently, resided in Mishawaka, Indiana, with her partner of 35 years, Randy Einfalt, and their daughter, Alicia Einfalt.

Olga was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Medrano. She is survived by five brothers, Juan Ruiz, Esteban (Steve) Ruiz, Pedro Ruiz, Jr., Eloid Ruiz and Joseph (Roy) Ruiz, and three sisters, Nina Cross, Delia Lopez and Eva Ruiz.

Olga grew up in Culver, IN, and graduated from Culver Community High School in 1972. She then graduated from Ancilla College in 1974. 

Olga loved working in her flower beds; her favorite flower was hydrangeas. Olga was an avid reader; going to book sales was a favorite hobby of hers. She enjoyed watching movies and spending time with her family. Olga was a gracious hostess and enjoyed having family gatherings; her famous sugar cookies were a family favorite.

Olga courageously fought several medical issues, including cancer that led to her being placed on hospice care. She continued her brave fight and was able to spend another five years with her family. Unfortunately, on May 16, 2024, her fight ended. Olga was a caring mother and a loving partner. She will be dearly missed. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 1:00pm at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth, IN. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.
