Payton Irene Miller

ELKHART- Payton Irene Miller, 95 of Elkhart, passed away Sunday March 16, 2025, at East Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 17, 1929, in Logansport, Indiana to Glenn & Loyda (Filby) Spradling.                                                                                        

She married Doyle Gordon Miller who preceded her in death on May 18, 1976.  Surviving is a son, Michael Jay (Tammy) Miller of Elkhart; 7 grandchildren, Brad Ward, John Ward, Jennifer Ward, Catrina Miller, Stephen Miller, Keesha Manning and Danielle Ryll; 14 great-grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren and 1 sister, Sue Bauer of Elkhart.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Doyle, her companion Don Dexter, 3 children, Sherry Ward, Elaine McNear, Steven Miller: 1 brother, Chuck Spradling and her sister Phyllis.

Payton was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, doing puzzle books and in her younger years going to flea markets.

There will be no visitation or services, and cremation will take place.  Burial will be at a later date in Logansport, Indiana.

Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care.
