Perry William Beabout, 58, of Elkhart, IN, graduated to heaven as a good and faithful servant of God on Saturday, September 25, 2021. A dedicated husband, father, ‘Papaw,’ and friend, he died at home surrounded by his family.
Perry was born on July 14,1963. After graduating from high school, Perry joined the United States Air Force before marrying his sweetheart, Jodi (Keith). Together, they built a family and life of service as Trans World Radio (TWR) missionaries.
If Perry was still here, he would want you to know he was blessed with a very good life. He knew Jesus. He traveled the world. He loved his family and his work. When he was diagnosed with ALS in March 2020, he told the teary-eyed neurologist that after being given 56 wonderful, healthy years, he could not complain. His ultimate goal was to faithfully praise God until his last breath. His family can confirm that though Perry’s voice failed, his faith did not. He ran the race well.
Perry was honored and proud to spread the hope of Jesus Christ as a TWR global broadcast engineer. At home, Perry enjoyed simple pleasures: dark roast coffee, walks and hikes in nature, fixing and reselling Fluke meters, and spending one-on-one time with people he loved.
Perry is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Jodi; daughter Leandra Beabout and husband Cameron Bradley; daughter Kelsey Bourdon and husband Tyler Bourdon, with grandsons Theodore and Henry; son Ethan Beabout and girlfriend Claire Carlton; Father William (Bill) Beabout of East Brady, PA, Perry’s hometown; father-in-law Ronald (Ronnie) and mother-in-law Joanne Keith of Fenelton, PA; and a loving cloud of witnesses made up of dear friends and family scattered around the world.
Perry was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Beabout.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Sugar Grove Church, 58512 Old County Rd 17 in Goshen, Indiana, at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 9. Visitation will be held at the same church on Friday, October 8 from 5-8 PM.
