Phyllis Jean Kinard

Phyllis Jean Kinard, 87, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at her residence in Elkhart, IN. She was born on October 25, 1937, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Joseph and Pauline (Canan) McClane.

Phyllis was preceded in death by three husbands: Harold E. Rose, Berdett Amos Doland, and Daniel Kinard. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Frank McClane; sisters, Linda Bergerson and Judith A. McClane; and her infant brother. Surviving are two children, Judith A. (Duane R.) McCloughan of Elkhart, IN, and Timothy A. (McKayla) Rose of Middlebury, IN; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two siblings, Sharon Parish and Larry McClane, both of Elkhart, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was formerly employed at Double-T Laminating in Elkhart. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering.

Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest at Prairie Street Cemetery, next to her husband Daniel.
