ELKHART- Ray Bean, Jr.,64, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Tuesday September 5, 2023, at Riverside Village in Elkhart. He was born November 26, 1958, in Elkhart, Indiana to Ray & Ira Mae (Suggs) Bean, Sr.
On April 23, 1994, in Cassopolis, Michigan he married Rhonda Ross. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Rhonda Bean of Elkhart, IN; 3 children Samantha Pelfrey of Indiana, Tiffani Ross-Bean of Elkhart, IN, Joshua Bean of Elkhart and 3 grandchildren. Additional survivors include 6 siblings, Betty Bean, Cora (Pastor Jonathan) Brown, Deborah “Debi” Johnson, Elaine Kiefer, Ray Shawn “Ty” (Michelle) Bean, Bernard Barnett and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Ray Bean, Sr., his mother Ira Mae Barnett and his brother Edward Lee Bean.
Ray was a member of New Beginnings Church in Elkhart. He enjoyed doing construction work, reading his bible and listening to Christian music.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of life service for Ray will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his care.
