Rebecca Barber Obituary

Rebecca G. (Masse) Barber, born on March 15, 1957, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Jean R. Masse, Sr.; her mother, Jane (Zylinski) Masse; her daughter, Kimberly J. Barber; and several brothers and sisters.

Rebecca is survived by her five children: Christopher (Amy) Johnson, David (Katie) Costa, Carrie (Jeff) Gunter, Jeremy (Candice) Barber and Lisa Buelna. Rebecca is also survived by 23 grandchildren: Beux, Ryan, Johnathan, Tea, Savannah, Tristyn, Ren, Jason Jr., Nathan, Ethan, Jason, Leilani, Makai, Patrick, Shaun, Brandon, Amarissa, Alejandro, Jade, Markus, Quentin, Lydia, and Peyton.

Rebecca was a member of Christ Temple Church. She was the head of Sunday school classes, member of the choir, and devoted follower.

Rebecca loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. at Christ Temple Church, 305 N. Second Street, Cassopolis, MI. Flowers may be sent directly to the church. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.
