Obituary

MIDDLEBURY-Rebecca Faith “Becky, BB” Burke, age 59, of Middlebury went into Jesus’ arms May 29, 2022, at Goshen Hospital surrounding by her loved ones.  She was born to James and Arlene (Nihart) Bussey on February 28th, 1963, in Washington D.C.

  On July 15, 1983, she married her loving husband, David Burke SR, he survives along with, her children that she loved so much Ashley (Todd) Igney, David II (Heather) Burke, Andrea (Matthew) Cloud, and Harley Burke.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, whom she adored, Tyse, Kayleena, Reese, Owen, David III, and Olivia, an older brother, James (Amy) Bussey, younger brother, Timothy (Brenda) Bussey, and sister, Mary (Steve) Dickinson. 

  She was preceded in death by her parents.

  Becky, BB worked in the Healthcare industry for 28 years with the majority of time spent at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society as well as organized the second Middlebury/Bristol Relay for Life.  Becky never knew a stranger and would open up her home and kitchen to anyone.  She enjoyed cooking, baking with the grandchildren, and being a shoulder to lean and cry on.  She will be greatly missed by many and would want everyone to forgive freely and love fearlessly. 

Per her wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at the family farm on the day after their 39th wedding anniversary July 16th at 2PM.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
