Robert Ray Abner

Bob Abner, 65, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon (August 22, 2023) at his home in Elkhart, IN with his wife, Chris, by his side.

Bob was born August 12, 1958, in Middletown, Ohio to Robert C. and Sheila R. (Bowman) Abner as Robert Ray Abner.  He is survived by his soul mate and love of his life, Chris Abner, daughters Brittney Abner-Hennings (Krista) and Abby Abner, granddaughters Caitlyn Shaw and Jalynn Gartner, grandson Cayden Abner, stepsons William Gipson (Amanda) and Glen Cole (Shelby) and three step-grandchildren.

He is preceded in passing by his parents Robert and Sheila Abner, and his son Garret Abner.

Bob loved spending time with Chris, whether in Vegas watching The Game or playing golf.  His main passion, outside of his family, was his Buckeyes!  He loved to spend time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on his face.  He was a loving and caring person, devoted husband, father, and friend, always thinking of others first.  Bob was the kindest person you will ever meet!   He will always be whispering words of wisdom, Let it Be!

A memorial service is currently being planned.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with his care.
