SOUTH BEND-Robert “Keith” Carter, 62, passed away July 5, 2021 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was born July 4, 1959 in South Bend.

On November 24, 1979 he married Jamie L. Hunt; she preceded him in death on September 21, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his father, Charles Carter and 1 sister, Tina.

Surviving is his mother, Bertha (Tom) Riley, two sons, Jeramy (Jennifer) Carter, Joshua (Kim) Carter, three grandchildren, Katie, Bo and Zachary. Also surviving are six siblings, Paula (Russell), Russ (Carol), Sam (Venus), Todd (Laura), Ben (Rona), and Beth (Randy) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Keith enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, fishing, stock car racing, motocross racing and he enjoyed collecting guns with his wife Jamie.

A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his arrangements.
