Robert L Thibos

SHIPSHEWANA-Robert “Bob” L. Thibos, 64, of Shipshewana, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born April 3, 1956 in Three Rivers, MI.
  Bob leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Lorraine, 2 sons, Josh (Lori) Thibos and Erik (Rachel) Thibos, 8 grandchildren, Kiylee, Xander, Dominik, Chloie, Xayden, Krystal, Tyler, and Isabella and his faithful companion, Maggie.   Also surviving are 3 siblings, Don (Cindy) Thibos, Nancy Horton, and Virginia (Joseph) Cotton, and 1 aunt, Pauline Myers. 
  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. & Wilma (Myers) Thibos, and his brother, Tim Thibos. 
  Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran as well as a member of the Scottish Rite in South Bend.  He enjoyed long drives in the country, quiet time at home feeding the birds in his backyard and occasional vacations to the U.P. of Michigan. 
  The family asks that any donations be made to the Humane Society of Elkhart County in Bristol, so that others can know the unconditional love of a fur friend, as he did with Maggie.
  Per Bob’s wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. 
  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
