Robert Thrapp

GOSHEN-Robert D. Thrapp Sr., 77, passed away December 26, 2021, at Goshen Hospital.  He was born May 31, 1944, in Elkhart to Delos & Evelyn (Dick) Thrapp.
  On November 4, 1967, he married Sandra Elwell; she survives along with 2 children, Robert D. (Heather) Thrapp, II, Jennifer (Adam) Thomas, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is a sister, Susan (David) Chilberg. 
  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, John “Jack” Thrapp.
  Robert was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked for Nibsco for over 30 years until his retirement in 2002.  He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader for over 20 years and enjoyed camping and traveling in his spare time.  His family will truly miss him, and he will be remembered as being a devoted family man.
   A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity on Jackson Church, 2715 East Jackson Blvd. Elkhart, IN 46516.
