Roberta JoAnn DeBoer

Bobbie DeBoer was welcomed into Heaven on Wednesday, March 16, 2023 after an extended illness. Bobbie was born November 20, 1950. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Marilyn Meyers.  She is survived by her daughters, Debbie DeBoer and Diana Deboer, both of Elkhart.  She is also survived by her siblings, Diana (Jerry) Malcom, Elkhart, Carol (Greg) Smith, Goshen, Charles Meyers, Elkhart, and Mary Ann (Jeff) Blacketter, of Brandon, FL, three grandchildren, Mindy (Jason) Osborn, Zach DeBoer (Salena Rivera), Rebekah DeBoer, and two great-granddaughters, Anabella and Zoe Osborn.

Bobbie was an employee of Concord Community Schools serving as a beloved para at the junior high.  She also worked at the Goshen Meijer gas station where she was known by many in the community.  Previous to that, she worked for GTE as a telephone operator.  

Like her mother, Bobbie loved music and especially playing the piano.  Being together with family and friends for board and card games also was a favorite way to spend her time both before and after retirement.  She and her sisters loved to get together and play cards and dominoes. She had a special fondness for playing Chinese marbles with her friend, Linda.  Bobbie participated in a Euchre club once a month with friends for many years.  Time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren filled her heart with great joy.  Singing and dancing to praise and worship songs was a wonderful way to celebrate her love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus!

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.
