Roberta H. Meadows, 91, of Elkton, Virginia was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 3, 2023, in Elkhart, Indiana.

She was born October 24, 1932, in Waynesboro, Virginia to Ernest Poe Hensley and Violet Morris Hensley.

She married Freeman D. Meadows on December 29, 1950.

Roberta was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Elkton Pentecostal Church, where she taught Sunday School and was the Director of Vacation Bible School for many years. She was tremendous support for Freeman’s ministry in Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship for 38 years. Their ministry together touched many lives, not only in Virginia, but around the world.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by, daughter, Sheila A Bruker; son-law-in, James F Bruker; granddaughter, Dana Star Bruker; brothers, Alden Hensley and Gregory Hensley; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Williams and Gwendolyn Hudlow, half-brother, Eugene P. Hensley and half-sister, Elaine H Merica.

Roberta is survived by her daughter and husband, Renee Shank & Thomas Shank, Elkhart IN; grandchildren Summer Shank, Thomas Shank, Fredericksburg, VA; Jeremy Bruker, San Antonio, TX; Faith Bruker; great grandchildren, Elijah and Isaiah Bruker; half-sister, Fonda Breeden, Elkton, VA, Ralph Dean, raised together during childhood and Danny Watson raised in Roberta’s home as a son.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Elkton Pentecostal Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Elkton, VA. A time of food and fellowship will follow at the church’s social hall.

Roberta will be interred in Elk Run Cemetery alongside of Freeman Meadows.

Flowers may be sent to the Elkton Pentecostal Church for the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MWH Hospice, or personal check to Renee Shank to recognize special individuals in Hospice Care at both Fredericksburg, and Indiana.

Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care.
