Sandra K. Rock

Sandra K. Rock, 70, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at The Center for Hospice Care Esther’s House in Elkhart.  She was born on February 2, 1954, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Donald and Barbara (Crussemeyer) Baughman.

On June 8, 1974, she married Edward F. Rock. He survives along with two children, Brenda (Adam) Arms and Chris Rock, both of Elkhart; six grandchildren, Abigail and Ashley Genovese, Jonathan Salazar, Elijah Rock, Logan Arms, and Brendan (Kate) Arms, all of Elkhart; three great-grandchildren, Easton Swann, Liliana Arms, and Kayce Arms.  Also surviving are four siblings, Donald (Deb) Baughman, Tom (Faith Ann) Baughman, Donna Gonzales, all of Elkhart, and Paula Taylor of South Bend; as well as two stepbrothers, Jerry (Debbie) Schott and Stanley (Christina) Schott, both of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Jernigan; her father, Donald Baughman, Sr.; her stepmother, Shirley Baughman; her stepsister, Janice Ballege; and her stepbrother, James Schott, all of Elkhart.

Sandra graduated in 1972 from Elkhart High School. She enjoyed cooking, going to the movies, dining out with her husband, Ed, and visiting the Blue-Chip Casino. She was a very giving person, and her smile and laugh will be greatly missed. She loved children, loved her dogs and cats, and spending time with her family.  Sandra worked as a quality inspector at Cequent Performance Products for many years.

A celebration of life service for Sandra will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 4206 E. Bristol Street, Elkhart, IN. Pastor Tracy Rose-Love will render the service. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, Elkhart County Humane Society, and Center for Hospice Care.
