ELKHART- Sandra Lynn Taft, 52, of Elkhart, died Friday February 19, 2021 at her residence in Elkhart. She was born July 16, 1968 in Berrien County, Michigan to Donald Ray and Donna Geraldine (Sanders) Butler.

On December 23, 1988 in Elkhart, she married Douglas R. “Doug” Taft. He survives along with 2 children Mikki L. (Joseph) Ruiz of LaPorte, IN and Jamie L. Taft of South Bend, IN; 5 grandchildren Camryn, Jensen, Drake, Kaidence and Jagger. Also surviving is her mother Donna McCracken of TN; her father Donald (Helen) Butler of Missouri and 4 siblings Shannon Francis, Shawn McCracken both of TN, Chance Butler and Kristy Hamby both of Missouri. She was preceded in death by a sister Tracy and her grandmother Dorothy Jackson.

Sandy worked as part time cook at country Club Lanes in Elkhart. She enjoyed attending concerts and gardening with her husband Doug.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation services is entrusted with her care.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
